The Hue Monuments Conservation Center has created the walkway on the section between Eo Bau Nam Xuong (inside The Nhon Gate, also known as Ngan Gate) and Eo Bau Nam Thang (inside Quang Duc Gate, also known as Sap Gate).

Visitors can walk through Ky Dai, a 19th century structure made up of three platforms with cannons and a flagpole, and Phu Van Lau, a building located on the main axis of the Imperial Citadel.

People were not allowed to go all the way up to this place until now, and so the walkway has piqued their curiosity.

Minh Ha, a traveler from Hanoi, said: "This is the first time I've had the opportunity to see Hue from above like this. It is a new and fun experience."

Visitors will walk past Ho Thanh Hao, the moat surrounding the citadel built by the Nguyen Dynasty in 1832.

The center soon plans to display images of royal rituals, the emperors and mandarins of the Nguyen Dynasty, and reenact patrolling by guards.

It is expected that by 2025, after the Thuong Thanh area is fully refurbished, the center will extend the walkway to more than 10 kilometers.
